GMR Switch™ Precision Digital Sensors
Unmatched Sensitivity and Precision

GMR Switches integrate GMR sensor elements with digital signal processing electronics. These sensors are more precise than other magnetic sensors, and magnetic field operate points are stable over voltage and temperature extremes. GMR Switches can operate over a wide range of magnetic fields, are available in a variety of supply ranges, and come in SOIC8, MSOP8, 2.5 mm x 2.5 mm TDFN6 packages, or 1.1 mm x 1.1 mm ULLGA packages.

AD-Series Precision GMR Digital Sensors are the industry standard for sensitivity and precision. Models available in a wide variety of magnetic operate points, output configurations, and package types. Parts have 20 mA output drive capability.  AD‑Series Sensor Evaluation Kit


The ADV001-00E is a GMR Digital Switch using a bipolar output GMR material. This material allows the sensor to maintain an operate point with the application of a negative (south) magnetic field, and a release point with the application of a positive (north) magnetic field. The part is ideal for use with magnetic encoders that have alternating north/south poles, or in any other application where one polarity of field is required to turn the part on, and the opposite polarity is required to turn it off. Available in RoHS-compliant MSOP8 or 2.5 mm x 2.5 mm TDFN packages.

ADL-Series sensors are internally duty cycled versions conserve power. Two different duty-cycle frequencies are available (ADL0xx and ADL1xx Series), offering a trade-off between update frequency and power consumption. An integrated latch ensures the output is available continuously. A continuously-operating version (the ADL9xx Series) is available, with a frequency response of 250 kHz. Key specifications are:

  • 1.1 mm x 1.1 mm x 0.45 mm ULLGA package
  • 2.4 – 3.6 V supply voltage
  • Typ. power consumption as low as 72 nW at 2.4 V
  • 40, 28, or 20 Oe operate points
  • 100 µA current-sinking output

AHL-Series sensors aredesigned to run at low voltages and extremely low currents. Internally duty cycled versions (the AHL0xx Series) provide remarkably low power consumption. Continuously-operating versions (the AHL9xx Series) are also available for maximum frequency response. AHL-Series sensors are ideal for battery-powered devices such as gas and water meters, portable instruments, or any place where extremely low is required. Key specifications are:
