GMR Switch™ and TMR Precision Magnetic Switch Sensors
Unmatched Sensitivity and Precision
GMR Switches integrate GMR sensor elements with digital signal processing electronics. These sensors are more precise than other magnetic switches, and their magnetic operate points are stable over voltage and temperature extremes.
GMR Switches can operate over a wide range of magnetic fields, are available in a variety of supply ranges, and come in SOIC8, MSOP8, 2.5 mm x 2.5 mm DFN6 packages, and 1.1 x 1.1 mm DFN4 packages.

AD-Series Precision GMR Magnetic Switches are the industry standard for sensitivity and precision. Models available in a wide variety of magnetic operate points, output configurations, and package types. Most parts have 4.5 V to 30 V power supplies and 20 mA output drive capability. AD8xx and AD9xx versions also have Short-Circuit Protection (SCP) circuitry. The most popular models are listed below:

The ADV001-00E is a GMR Digital Switch using a bipolar output GMR material. This material allows the sensor to maintain an operate point with the application of a negative (south) magnetic field, and a release point with the application of a positive (north) magnetic field. The part is ideal for use with magnetic encoders that have alternating north/south poles, or in any other application where one polarity of field is required to turn the part on, and the opposite polarity is required to turn it off. Available in RoHS-compliant MSOP8 or 2.5 mm x 2.5 mm DFN packages.

AFL-Series Low-Voltage GMR Magnetic Switch Sensors are available in a wide variety of voltages, output types, magnetic operate points, and package types. Operating voltages are as low as 0.9 volts for single-cell operation, and magnetic operate points are as low as 0.4 mT (the worlds most sensitive magnetic switches). The most popular part types are summarized below:

ADL-Series are ultaminiature magnetic switch sensors designed for 3.3V supplies or single lithium cells. Internally duty cycled versions conserve power. Continuously-operating versions (the ADL9xx Series) are available, with a frequency response of 250 kHz. Two different duty-cycle frequencies are available (ADL0xx and ADL1xx Series), offering a trade-off between power consumption and update frequency. Integrated latching make the outputs continuously available for duty-cycled versions.

AHL-Series sensors are ultraminiature magnetic switches designed to run on 1.5V batteries with extremely low power. Continuously-operating versions (the AHL9xx Series) have a wide frequency response. Internally duty cycled versions (the AHL0xx Series) provide nanowatt power consumption. AHL-Series sensors are ideal for battery-powered devices such as gas and water meters, or portable instruments.

ADT, AHT, and AHK-Series sensors are nanopower TMR magnetic switches without duty cycling; designed to run on 1.5 V batteries. Because they are inherently low power without duty cycling, they can respond much faster than duty cycled sensors.
