This Evaluation Board is a complete isolated RS-485 / RS-422 node using the IL4622E isolated transceiver with integrated isolated DC-DC convertor.
These 2 x 3.5-inch (50 x 90 mm) boards include screw terminals and test pads. LEDs indicate DC-to-DC convertor input and output power. A 2s2p board with vias optimizes thermal performance.
The IL4622E is a high-speed, fully-isolated, full duplex differential bus transceiver with an integrated
3.3-to-3.3 volt DC-DC convertor to provide a fully-isolated 3.3 volt bus supply using the controller supply. This level of integration dramatically reduces chip count and board area.
IL6xxCMTI-Series isolators are
optimized for driving MOSFETs either directly or with an
external gate driver.
Resistors set the input current, and five milliamps guarantees
switching. The inputs can be configured as non-inverting or
inverting.
CMTI-grade isolators are 100% tested to ensure each part has
at least 200 kV/µs minimum Common-Mode Transient
Immunity. Simple external deglitch circuitry can extend the
CMTI to an extraordinary 350 kV/µs typical.
The parts also have an extended supply range of up to 6.6 volts
for compatibility to directly drive a range of power
MOSFETs or gate driver ICs. The parts provide full 2.5 kV isolation.
The IL610CMTI-1E is a single-channel version in an ultraminiature MSOP8 package.
