The AG952-07 Evaluation Kit has everything you need to calibrate, test, and evaluate
the easy-to-use SM124-10E Smart Magnetometer. The kit includes:
A 1" x 1.6" (25 mm x 41 mm) evaluation board with:
- an SM124-10E sensor.
- a microcontroller connected to the sensor via I²C.
- a current-carrying trace under the sensor for evaluating as a current sensor.
A simple, intuitive graphical user interface.
Simple software installation.
USB cable to connect the Evaluation Board to a computer.
A small ceramic magnet for evaluating as a proximity sensor.
$95.00
This self-contained module allows zeroing and programming the digital output threshold and hysteresis or SM124-10E or SM125-10E Smart Magnetometer without need of a computer or a customer microcontroller.
The 2.5" x 2.5" (64 mm x 64 mm) board has an I²C master microcontroller connected to the SM124.
A pushbutton for zeros the sensor, and miniature rotary thumbwheel switches provide three digits of resolution for the threshold and two for hysteresis. A custom TDFN-6 socket accommodates the 2.5 mm x 2.5 mm SM12x-10E. The module is powered by a small wall-mounted power supply (included).
Jumpers allow the sensor to be disconnected from the rest of the board so the board can be used as an interface to the customer’s electronics.
This module includes:
A 2.5 x 2.5 mm TDFN6 socket for a SM12x-10E Smart Magnetometer
A preprogrammed, onboard microcontroller
Two sets of thumbwheel switches for digital threshold and hysteresis
Two LEDs indicating the sensor’s output and successful programming
A 5-volt wall-mount power supply
Sensors are sold separately.

A 0.8 x 0.4 inch (21 x 10 mm) breakout board with the SM124-10E 0 to 1 mT Smart GMR magnetometer sensor.
The board has a pre-soldered sensor, a standard 0.1" (2.54 mm) header and a common, 1 mm pitch card-edge connector.
The board can be powered by a 2.2 to 3.6 V supply and provides an easy-to-use I2C interface as well as a magnetic threshold output.
$19.95
The SM124-10E Smart Magnetometer combines an omnipolar GMR sensor element with
with easy-to-use digital signal processing.
A digital output provides precise, programmable thresholds.
An I²C interface provides magnetic field data, as well as a
calibration interface. The device is factory calibrated for accuracy. Calibration coefficients are stored in internal nonvolatile memory.
All commands, data, and coefficients are a single byte, and a
slick, elegant data structure lets you get up and running with
a minimum of firmware.
Key features include:
Can detect magnets more than 50 mm away
I²C and digital threshold outputs
0-1 mT linear range
8-bit / 1% output resolution
−40°C to +125°C operating range
5% FS accuracy for 0 to 85°C
10 kSps sample rate for fast response
6 mA typical supply current
In-plane sensitivity more usable than Hall effect sensors
Programmable offset and gain compensation
Optional magnet temperature compensation
2.2 to 3.6 volt supply
Ultraminiature 2.5 x 2.5 x 0.8 mm TDFN package
