Galvanically-isolated high-speed RS 485 differential bus transceiver with 2500 Vrms isolation, 2kV Bus ESD, and 20 kV/microsecond transient immunity. The IL 485 has a 35 Mbd data rate and is Profibus recognized. Available in a 0.3"-wide 16-pin SOIC package.
The "E" suffix indicates this part is lead (Pb) free.
The IL485W performs the same EIA-485 and PROFIBUS functions as the IL485, but has an additional uncommitted isolation channel which is useful for fault detection in bus contention situations.

These 2 x 3.5-inch (50 x 90 mm) boards have an IL715VE isolator, two bypass capacitors as recommended, screw connections, test pads, and provisions for header pins.
V-Series isolators are rated at a best-in-class 7 kVrms (9.9 kVpeak) isolation voltage. The evaluation board demonstrates best practice for maintaining 8 millimeter creepage. The isolators are conformally-coated to minimize arcing around the part.
This board demonstrates an isolated, high-efficiency synchronous buck converter switch-mode
power supply (SMPS) using the world’s smallest isolators, NVE IsoLoop® MSOP Isolators.
The output is 3.3V at 750 mA.
The board has three channels of isolation to ensure the output is electrically isolated from the
input. A two-channel MSOP-8 isolator isolates synchronous rectification and a single-channel
MSOP-8 isolator isolates output-voltage feedback. MSOP isolators minimize board area.
Despite the compact components, the board has full 2.5 kV isolation and maintains 3 mm creepage.
