7 kV Isolators
IL700V-Series
four-channel isolators have best-in-class 7 kVrms (9.9 kVpk) isolation.
Revolutionary Technology
A unique ceramic/polymer composite
isolation barrier also provides the industrys best barrier resistance and
virtually unlimited life. IL700V-Series isolators are certified under the stringent
VDE 0884-17 standard, UL1577 registered, and ATEX /
IECEx certified for intrinsically safe applications.
Virtually No EMI Emissions
Unlike competitive isolators that rely on RF coupling, NVE isolators have virtually
undetectable radiated emissions, simplifying EMC design.
Standard Package
The 16-pin SOIC package is the standard wide-body size, but unlike other similarly-sized
packages, it has true 8 mm creepage under IEC 60601.
A Full Range of Configurations
All three four-channel configurations are in stock
for immediate delivery:
Evaluation Boards
Each
channel configuration has an
evaluation board. These two by 3.5-inch (50 by 90 mm) boards each have an
isolator, two bypass capacitors as recommended, screw connections, test pads,
and provisions for header pins. The boards demonstrate best practice for maintaining
isolation and are conformally-coated and guaranteed not to arc at 10 kV peak.
Demonstrations
Here we demonstrate these parts' remarkable isolation:
And here we demonstrate their best-in-class speed. Unlike other isolators,
NVE isolators have practical usability to well above 110 megabaud:

World's
Fastest Isolated Transceivers
|
 |
IL3685-Series isolated RS-485
transceivers boast best-in-class 40 Mbps data specifications with corresponding
best-in-class propagation delay and pulse skew.
World's Best Barrier
NVE isolators' 100 teraohm barrier resistance is at least 100 times better than
other isolators. Barrier life is 44000 years, which is virtually infinite. And
the IL3685VE version has best-in-class
6 kV isolation.
Extreme Environments
The new IL3685TE version is
designed for extreme environments with a -40 to 125°C operating temperature
range, thermal shutdown protection, and 15 kV bus ESD. It is also ATEX /
IECEx certified for intrinsically safe applications.
Fully-Compliant RS-485 and PROFIBUS
IL3685-Series transceivers are one of the few isolated transceivers to be fully
PROFIBUS compliant, including the minimum and maximum bus differential specifications.
This rigorous compliance ensures interoperability with any PROFIBUS or RS-485
node.
Gold-Standard Certifications
NVE isolators are certified to the rigorous IEC 60747-17 (VDE 0884-17):2021-10
standard. Many competing isolators only conform to outdated editions.

Drop-In Isolator Replacements
NVE
introduced the world's first non-optical isolators in 2000, and every one of those
models is still available. Other manufacturers routinely discontinue parts or
have lead-time issues. For example, Infineon recently obsoleted several parts.
NVE came to the rescue with pin-compatible upgrades in stock.
NVE has not been significantly affected by tariffs or other recent supply chain
disruptions, and we have plenty of inventory.
You can use our Isolator Cross Reference
to identify pin-for-pin replacements that are ready to ship today, so you can
rest easy tonight.
NVE was the first, and still the best, in isolators.
Tradeshows
NVE
distributor Angst+Pfister will exhibit at SINDEX 2025, Sept. 2 to 4,
in Bern, Switzerland. It's billed as Switzerland's leading industrial automation
trade fair. |
