Magnetic Switch Sensors
Following
our launch of 1.5-volt WLCSP
magnetic switch sensors last year, we are introducing 3.3-volt
versions for logic power or battery supplies. The new versions also feature
an extended temperature range to 125°C. The new parts provide unmatched spatial
sensitivity and precision, and the 0.65 by 0.65 mm package makes them
perfect for tight spaces and small mechanisms.
Magnetic switches turn on when a magnetic field is applied and turn off when the
field is removed.
The
applied field can be of either polarity, and the operate point is extremely stable
over supply voltage and the full industrial temperature range. The open-drain
output can sink up to 100 microamps.
Key specifications of the new 3.3-volt versions include:
Choice of magnetic operate points
Omnipolar
2.4 to 4.2 supply voltage for power supply or battery
operation
Max. supply current 120 microamps at 3.6 V
Full 40 to 125°C temperature range
Ultraminiature 0.65 x 0.65 mm four-pad solder-bumped

Breakout Boards
Available 0.8 x 0.4 inch (21 x 10 mm) breakout
boards have pre-soldered WLCSP
sensors, 0.1" headers, and 1 mm-pitch card-edge connectors.
Heres the summary of the new sensors and breakout boards:
This video demonstrates the small size, high sensitivity, and ease of interface
of these remarkable little sensors:

Tradeshows
See
our new WLCS switch sensors (with magnifying glasses--they're that small) and
the rest of NVE's unique line of magnetometers, magnetic switches, and current,
angle, and position sensors at Sensors
Converge, June 24 to 26 in Santa Clara, Calif.
NVE
is planning to be at Space Tech Expo June 2 to 4 in Long Beach, California.
NVE sensors and isolators such as the IL710H-3E
high-rel isolator are inherently reliable and inherently radiation tolerant.
NVE
distributor Angst+Pfister will exhibit at the EPHJ tradeshow, June 3 to 6
in Geneva. The show's theme is "the world of high precision," and NVE offers
the world's most precise magnetic switch sensors. |
