Ultralow Power WLCSP Magnetic Switch SensorsNEW!
WLCSPOur latest wafer-level chip scale magnetic sensors are a line of ultralow power magnetic switch sensors. Ultralow power makes them ideal for battery operation, and their ultraminiature 0.65 mm package makes them perfect for tight spaces and provides unmatched spatial sensitivity. They're designed for 3.3-volt supplies or lithium batteries. Applications include gas and water meters, portable instruments, and harvested-power deployments.

Tiny But Capable
ADL1xx Block DiagramMagnetic switches turn on when a magnetic field is applied and turn off when the field is removed. These ultralow-power versions are internally duty-cycled to reduce power consumption. An integrated latch makes the output continuously available.

Unique Features
The applied field can be of either polarity, and the operate point is extremely stable across supply voltage and the full industrial temperature range. The open-drain output can sink up to 100 microamps.

Key specifications for the new versions include:
   • Choice of magnetic operate points
   • Omnipolar
   • 2.4 to 4.2 V supply voltage
   • Power as low as 84 nW
   • Full –40 to 125°C temperature range
   • Ultraminiature 0.65 x 0.65 mm four-pad solder-bumped WLCSP

ADL125-20E-EVB01Breakout Boards
Available 0.8 x 0.4 inch (21 x 10 mm) breakout boards have pre-soldered WLCSP sensors, 0.1" headers, and 1 mm-pitch card-edge connectors.

A new independent paper describes a digitization method and characterizes an AA004-02E NVE AA004 GMR analog magnetometer. The NVE sensor's three-sigma resolution was a remarkable 3.72 µT over a 0.5 to 3.5 mT field range:
