Sounds Like an April Fools' Joke but Isn't

A Swedish group glued magnets to students' eyelashes, got them drunk, and used NVE magnetic sensors to determine if they could still blink. The results were published in the journal Brain Research.

Excerpt:
“The [NVE] GMR sensor, positioned right underneath the left eye, recorded magnetic field alterations generated by eyelid movements.”
