Award-winning IL600
and IL600A Isolators provide unique passive inputs for flexibility similar to
LED-input optocouplers but with better performance and higher package density.
The devices are manufactured with NVE’s patented IsoLoop spintronic Giant
Magnetoresistive (GMR) technology for small size, high speed, and low power.
Popular IL600-Series applications include isolated PLCs, serial interface receivers,
wired-OR controls, level-shifting interfaces, and line-voltage interfaces such
as the example in this issue’s Application

types of inputs: logic, battery, PLC, and line voltage:

Evaluation Boards |

Several new IL600-Series evaluation
boards are now available.
These 2 x 3.5-inch (50 x 90 mm) boards have your choice of an IL600-Series isolator,
input resistors and capacitors, a power-supply bypass capacitor as recommended,
screw connections, test pads, and header pins. The IL610A-1E board also has a
push-button on the input and an LED on the output.

Isolated
Line Voltage Detection
An IL610A
can provide isolated line voltage detection. There’s no need for an input-side
power supply, and the isolator is UL listed and VDE certified for line voltage
safety:
The 30 kΩ
resistor provides the five milliamps minimum input current at about 150 volts.
The output duty cycle indicates relative line voltage.
