Best-in-Class Isolation
The isolation voltage of NVEs ultraminiature DC-to-DC converters has been
upgraded.
The 3 x 5.5 mm DFN6the worlds smallest isolated DC-to-DC
convertorhas been upgraded from 1 kV isolation to a full 2.5 kVrms
isolation. The SOIC16 versions have been enhanced to a remarkable 6 kVrms
isolation.
NVEs award-winning IsoLoop isolation technology and a unique ceramic/polymer
composite barrier enabled these upgrades and provides virtually unlimited barrier
life.

Multiple Output Voltages
Available outputs include the popular 3.3-to-3.3 volt version plus 3.3-to-5 volt
and 3.3-to-6 volt boost versions. The 3.3-volt and 5-volt outputs are perfect
for powering RS-485/RS-422 busses, while six volts is ideal for high-side FET
gate drivers.
Ample Power
With 250 milliwatts of fully regulated power, there is plenty of current
for an isolated RS-485 bus or high-side MOSFET drivers.
Low Ripple
Less than one millivolt peak-to-peak ripple ensures low noise and reliable
systems.
Soft Start
A smooth output ramp-up with a minimum two-millisecond startup facilitates safe
power sequencing such as allowing control electronics to start before an H-bridge
is powered.
Rugged
A maximum junction temperature of 175 °C allows full power operation up to
125 °C ambient without derating. Integrated short-circuit protection prevents
excessive power dissipation.
Minimal Parts Count
Just three simple bypass capacitors are required as external components. No additional
regulation is needed and there is no minimum load.
Low EMC
High-frequency operation, frequency hopping, and integrated shielding ensure compliance
with FCC and CISPR 32 without the need for external components such as shielding
or ferrite beads.
Evaluation Boards
ILDC1x-Series evaluation
boards come with everything you need: the part and three bypass capacitors.
They also include LEDs to indicate the convertor is operating and screw terminals
for easy connections. There are no ferrite beads or external regulators since
you dont need them.
