NVE Corporation Product Announcement

NVE Launches Miniature DC-DC Convertor
with Best-in-Class Isolation

EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn.—April 13, 2021—NVE Corporation today announced the ILDC11VE, a SOIC16W, quarter-watt, DC-DC convertor with best-in-class isolation.

ILDC11
Small Package
Based on NVE’s revolutionary IsoLoop isolation technology, the ILDC11VE provides one-quarter watt of regulated, fully-isolated power with a 3.3 volt input and output in an industry-standard SOIC16 wide-body package.

Big Features
NVE’s patented IsoLoop technology uses a unique ceramic/polymer composite barrier for five kilovolt isolation and virtually unlimited barrier life. The unique True-8(TM) package provides true eight-millimeter creepage in accordance with IEC60601. Maximum five millivolt peak-to-peak ripple means low noise for reliable systems. A 175 degree Celsius maximum junction temperature allows full power up to 125 degrees Celsius ambient with no derating. Integrated short-circuit protection prevents excessive power dissipation.

Minimal Parts Count
Three inexpensive bypass capacitors are the only external parts required. No additional regulation is needed and there is no minimum load. Frequency hopping and shielding minimize EMI and make ferrite beads unnecessary.

A Unique DC-DC Convertor Product Line
In addition to the new SOIC16W ILDC11VE, NVE offers the world’s smallest isolated DC-DC convertor, the ILDC11-15E in a three by 5.5 millimeter DFN6. NVE also offers isolated RS-485 and RS-422 transceivers with integrated DC-DC convertors, and coming soon will be isolated two, three, and four-channel data couplers with DC-DC convertors.

Available Now
ILDC11VE and ILDC11-15E are both available now for immediate delivery, with an end-user price of $3.50 each in 1000-piece quantities for either package type. The ILDC11-15E Evaluation Board is priced at $49.95.
