A self-contained demonstrator for NVE’s unique AKL digital gear tooth sensor. The battery-powered demonstrator (battery included) is based on an AKL001 sensor. The demonstrator also includes a circuit board with an LED and driver, a biasing magnet, and a gear that can be turned by hand. No assembly required. Dimensions 3" x 3" x 1.5".
The kit includes a circuit board with an AAT009-10E 6 megohm Angle Sensor and a unity-gain buffer amplifier. The circuit board can be powered with a 1.7 V to 5.5 V power supply. An angular reticle on the circuit board aids in characterizing output versus angle.
The kit also includes a split-pole magnet and a plastic magnet locating fixture.
The AAT009-10E Angle Sensor has ultra-ultra low power consumption and is ideal for long-term battery-powered operation or operation from harvested power.
The AG954-07E provides a socket for easy programming and prototyping of TDFN6 devices without soldering and unsoldering.
The custom socket is compatible with NVE's 2.5 mm x 2.5 mm TDFN6 package parts (-10E suffixes).
The board is 1.5" x 2" (38 mm x 50 mm), and uses brass hardware to minimize magnetic interference with the socketed sensor.
A 0.1"-spaced header provides for connections to the sensors, and a row of 0.1"-spaced through-holes allows for auxiliary parts such as a decoupling capacitor or an LED.
This self-contained module allows zeroing and programming the digital output threshold and hysteresis or SM124-10E or SM125-10E Smart Magnetometer without need of a computer or a customer microcontroller.
The 2.5" x 2.5" (64 mm x 64 mm) board has an I²C master microcontroller connected to the SM124.
A pushbutton for zeros the sensor, and miniature rotary thumbwheel switches provide three digits of resolution for the threshold and two for hysteresis. A custom TDFN-6 socket accommodates the 2.5 mm x 2.5 mm SM12x-10E. The module is powered by a small wall-mounted power supply (included).
Jumpers allow the sensor to be disconnected from the rest of the board so the board can be used as an interface to the customer’s electronics.
This module includes:
A 2.5 x 2.5 mm TDFN6 socket for a SM12x-10E Smart Magnetometer
A preprogrammed, onboard microcontroller
Two sets of thumbwheel switches for digital threshold and hysteresis
Two LEDs indicating the sensor’s output and successful programming
The AG970-07E Evaluation Kit helps test a variety AET-Series sensors with linear magnetic scales. The kit includes:
All five AET-Series parts (unsoldered in tubes)
A 3 x 4-inch (76 x 101 mm) PCB with test points and screw terminals
Detachable fixturing for linear magnetic tape (tape sold separately)
The AG975-07E provides easy connections to an SM223-10E high-sensitivity Smart Magnetometer. In addition to the sensor, the board has a recommended bypass capacitor and a six-pin header connected to each of the sensor I/O pads.
The board is approximately 0.6 by 0.75 inches (15 x 19 mm).
The AG976 demonstration board includes an ASR003-10E sensor, a diametrical magnet, magnet fixturing, and an interface board with a microcontroller. Four variable-brightness LEDs show the magnetic field strength in each direction.
Easy-to-install Windows software provides a graphical user interface showing the sensor output and allowing sensor parameters to be programmed.

output is bipolar, meaning it is positive for a positive field and negative for
an opposite field polarity. The ALT025 has cross-axis sensitivity (across the pads).
Features:
Large signal (200 mV/V)
Wheatstone bridge magnetometer configuration
0 - 10 V power supply
20 kiloohm device resistance for low power
±10 mT (±100 Oe) linear range

NVE's DB001-00E signal processing IC is designed to work with NVE's AD9xx series GMR switch with short circuit protection. This combination provides a high-current switched output that corresponds to the sensor input. The DB001-00E functions as the front end of a complete sensor assembly, and includes protection against short circuits and high voltage transients from capacitive and inductive loads. The parts also feature thermal shutdown circuitry and reverse battery protection. They provide a regulated output voltage for the sensor and other components in the assembly, and an LED driver to indicate an "ON" condition.
Features:
High Current Output
Reverse Battery and Transient Protection
LED Driver
Excellent Temperature and Voltage Performance
Small, Low Profile Surface Mount Packages
Note: Parts must be purchased in multiples of 100 when purchased in quantities of 100 or more. Larger quantities are subject to NVE's standard lead times.
