This Evaluation Board is a complete isolated RS-485 node using the IL4685E isolated transceiver with integrated isolated DC-DC convertor.
These 2 x 3.5-inch (50 x 90 mm) boards include screw terminals and test pads. LEDs indicate DC-to-DC convertor input and output power. A 2s2p board with vias optimizes thermal performance.
The IL4685E is a high-speed, fully-isolated, half-duplex differential bus transceiver with an integrated DC-to-DC convertor to create an isolated 3.3 volt bus supply using the 3.3 volt controller supply. This level of integration dramatically reduces chip count and board area.
