This Evaluation Board is a complete isolated RS-485 node using the IL4822E isolated transceiver with integrated DC-to-DC convertor.
These 2 x 3.5-inch (50 x 90 mm) boards include screw terminals and test pads. LEDs indicate DC-to-DC convertor input and output power. A 2s2p board with vias optimizes thermal performance.
The IL4822E is a high-speed, fully-isolated, full-duplex differential bus transceiver with an integrated DC-to-DC convertor to create an isolated 5 volt bus supply using the 3.3 volt controller supply. This level of integration dramatically reduces chip count and board area.

The IL4822 is an isolated, full-duplex 40 Mbps 5-volt bus RS-422 / RS-485 transceiver with an integrated 3.3V-to-5V DC-DC convertor.
The transceiver runs up to 40 Mbps, has a 1/5 Unit Load.
The DC-DC convertor can output up to 50 mA and is fully regulated.
2500 VRMS isolation; 16.5 kV bus ESD protection; 16-pin wide-body SOIC package with True 8™ mm creepage.
