NVE Introduces ADT-Series Three-Volt TMR Magnetic Switches 
Expands NVE’s line of continuous-duty nanopower TMR switches 
 
EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn.November 14, 2019NVE Corporation today announced 
an expansion of its line of continuous-duty nanopower Tunneling Magnetoresistance 
(TMR) magnetic switches with the new three-volt ADT-Series TMR switches. ADT sensors 
combine ultralow power and high speed, with no need for duty cycling.  
 
Single-Cell Operation 
ADT-Series sensors operate from 2.4 to 4.2 volts, making them ideal for lithium 
or lithium-ion batteries and 3.3-volt supplies. Previously-announced AHT-Series 
sensors operate from 0.9 to 1.8 volts for single-cell alkaline battery power.
  
Ultralow Power 
TMR technology provides ultralow power, making these sensors ideal for battery 
applications such as utility meters, security systems, or portable instruments. 
Typical quiescent currents are just 0.6 microamps for the ADT-Series and 1 microamp 
for the AHT-Series, even with no duty cycling. 
 
Configured as Switches 
Outputs are configured as magnetic switches, turning on when a magnetic 
field is applied and off when the field is removed. The field can be either polarity, 
and magnetic operate points are extremely stable over supply voltage and temperature.
  
Speed and Wide Bandwidth 
Continuous operation without duty cycling provides much higher speed than 
duty-cycled Hall effect sensors. AHT-Series sensors can switch at 3 kHz and ADT-Series 
up to a remarkable 20 kHz.  
 
Sensitive 
Magnetic operate points are as low as 1.5 mT (15 Oe).  
 
Ultraminiature 
ADT and AHT sensors come in ultraminiature 1.1 by 1.1 by 0.35 millimeter 
ULLGA-4 packages.
