NVE Introduces High-Field GMR Magnetometer Sensor
AAK001-10E precisely senses magnetic fields up to four kilooersteds
EDEN
PRAIRIE, Minn.August 30, 2017NVE Corporation (Nasdaq: NVEC) today
announced the AAK001-10E High-Field Analog Magnetometer Sensor for precise sensing
of magnetic fields up to four kilooersteds (400 millitesla).
NVE’s proprietary Giant Magnetoresistive (GMR) technology provides precision over
a wide field range. The sensors respond from zero field to four kilooersteds,
and are highly linear from 400 oersteds to 2.5 kilooersteds.
In addition to accommodating high fields, with its 1.1 by 1.1 millimeter
package, the AAK001-14E is now NVEs smallest analog sensor.
Unique features include:
Precise sensing of fields up to four kilooersteds (400 millitesla)
Sensitive to any direction in the device plane
Ratiometric Wheatstone bridge outputs
Any operating supply voltage up to 12 volts
3.5 kilohm bridge resistance for both low power and low output
impedance
Ultraminiature 1.1 by 1.1 millimeter package
Applications include brushless DC motors, motor commutator sensors, noncontact
high-current measurement, and other harsh industrial applications.
NVEs unique GMR magnetometer line includes a variety of measurement ranges,
sensitivities, packages, and temperature ranges:
Available now, AAK101-10E High-Field Sensors are priced at $5.45 each in 1,000-piece
quantities. Datasheets and more information are available at www.nve.com.
NVE is a leader in the practical commercialization of spintronics, a nanotechnology
that relies on electron spin rather than electron charge to acquire, store and
transmit information. The company manufactures high-performance spintronic products
including sensors and couplers that are used to acquire and transmit data. NVE
has also licensed its spintronic magnetoresistive random access memory technology,
commonly known as MRAM.
