NVE Introduces True 8 mm Creepage Bidirectional Isolators
EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn.April 18, 2013NVE Corporation has introduced high-speed,
two-channel bidirectional isolators in NVEs unique True 8 true eight millimeter
creepage isolator package.
Creepage is the shortest distance over the surface of an insulating material between
conductive elements, and is a critical dimension in isolated systems. Eight millimeter
creepage is required in certain demanding applications. IsoLoop® True 8
Isolators offer true eight millimeter creepage in an industry standard-compliant
package.
The True 8 Package
With ordinary wide-body packages, tolerances, variability between package molds,
and surface metal in the creepage path mean full eight millimeter creepage
cannot be assured. NVE custom tooled the True 8 isolator package to meet
isolation creepage requirements and the leadframe to minimize surface metal that
reduces creepage.
High-Performance Bidirectional Isolators
IsoLoop Isolators technology remarkable channel matching make them especially
effective in bidirectional applications. The IsoLoop isolator line includes more
than thirty bidirectional part types. Unmatched specifications include:
18 nanoseconds maximum propagation delay
Pulse-width distortion to 300 picoseconds
100 picoseconds jitter
3 nanoseconds maximum channel-to-channel skew
Available Now
Two versions are in stock for and available for immediate delivery. The IL721E
has a maximum operating temperature of 100 degrees Celsius, and the IL721TE
operates to 125 degrees Celsius. Pricing is $3.95 each for the IL721E
in 1,000 piece quantities and $4.25 for the IL721TE.

About NVE
NVE is a leader in the practical commercialization of spintronics, a nanotechnology
that relies on electron spin rather than electron charge to acquire, store and
transmit information. The company manufactures high-performance spintronic products
including sensors and couplers that are used to acquire and transmit data. NVE
has also licensed its spintronic magnetoresistive random access memory technology,
commonly known as MRAM.
